JOB DESCRIPTION

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



.1

Complete function testing of all MWD tools and update all appropriate documentation in accordance with work instruction.

.2

Assembly and disassembly of all MWD tools

.3

Basic repair & inspection of Triax Connectors and Battery Pressers as per work instruction

.4

Perform all necessary repair and maintenance of surface equipment

.5

Conduct failure analysis of surface assets as needed

.6

Ensures kits are re-stocked and the calibrations are up to date

.7

Basic Pulser testing in accordance with work instruction

.8

Calibrate and verify Gamma and interpret results

.9

Verify directional sonde

.10

Attend and pass IPC J-STD-001 solder certification

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Skills & Knowledge:

 

Essential

  • Mechanical skills
  • Electrical Skills including metering
  • Basic Computing skills with exposure to data entry & office platforms.
  • Ability to work in team environment
  • Excellent communication Skills, Organization & Self-Motivation.

Preferred

  • Technical knowledge of Drilling Systems products and Services
  • Previous experience in the maintenance and repair of LWD/MWD Surface Logging Systems, experience with intrinsically safe electrical systems
  • Good understanding of PC systems
  • Exposure to a technical vocation.

Minimum QUALIFICATIONS

 

Essential

  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Qualification including trade skills and associated industrial experience.
