Has responsibility for receiving, analyzing technical and commercial project tender documents and quote requests from internal and external customers worldwide. Processes routine to complex quotations requests for API 6A Spec Wellhead Systems equipment.


Prepare/generate formal surface wellhead system, gate valves and related products quotation packages and proposals within time frame of bid date and time needed by regions’ sales representatives.

Create stack-up drawings according to BOM and other documents

Utilize and understand costs-list price matrices to deliver consistent and timely quotes, as well as itemize equipment, tools and accessories to be manufactured by company or purchased from outside sources.

Compute cost/price estimates for equipment/tools and delivery times using a variety of criteria, such as inventory availability, and other logistical considerations (freight, handling, staging, etc.)

Compile/organize bills of material, utilizing product knowledge

Contact manufacturers directly or through local representatives to obtain best cost and/or technical information

Maintain accurate documentation and files to facilitate smooth historical research and referral

Occasionally will be called to provide technical support to determine the best wellhead solution for a customer, and provide wellheads technical problem-solving in support of Weatherford and Customer operations, on domestic and international environments

Perform various other duties assigned by supervisor with the physical constraints of the job and to the highest quality level

Overall project management of customer generated Tenders/RFQs

Actively participate in Contract Reviews

Equipment sourcing internally as well as through outside manufacturers. Direct contact with manufacturers to obtain best cost and/or technical information

Product knowledge and application

General knowledge of Weatherford’s Engineering basics and processes

Comprehensive knowledge of Weatherford’s Quality Management System

Knowledge of API 6A Standard

Occasionally will be required to work nighttime hours from home to coordinate quoting with China manufacturing and/or meet last minute deadlines

Problem solving skills

Must understand, comply and enforce Weatherford’s safety rules and policies.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.



College degree or equivalent related experience preferred

Comprehensive understanding of manufactured process

Computer skills for Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

1-3 years of API 6A spec wellhead systems experience

1-3 years field and shop wellhead experience


College degree or equivalent related experience preferred
