JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for business development of specified product line grouping on a global scale. This includes supporting region Management with financial plans, product line strategy and implementation, product development direction, marketing plans, QHSSE, technical and commercial support, as well as leading management of change. The position requires a close working relationship with manufacturing, regions, marketing services, and finance and accounting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain effective global product line organizational structure and skill base to meet the needs of the product line grouping in the short and longer term
Provide support in developing region and country based business plans for entire grouping of products
Evaluate and plan for future market conditions and align the strategy to take advantage of any changes or opportunities
Implement the strategic business plan for the Product Lines supported in order to ensure revenue profitability and growth targets are met or exceeded
Determine which geographies the product line should conduct business and which ones should not in line with business plan
Oversee and participate in global product strategy, research and development requirements, development requirements, development priority, analysis of market research, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
Conduct marketing analysis to develop product definitions and set launch process, as well as develops pricing strategy
Collaborate with wide variety of functional areas such as sales, operations, engineering, marketing, manufacturing and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
Demonstrate effective Safety leadership at all times to enhance the organisation’s commitment to safety performance
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford
Responsible for maximizing financial results of product line group including profit & loss, fixed assets, inventory, capital expenditure and days to invoice
Responsible for executing and ensuring effective delivery of operational and budgetary objectives
Establish PL forecast revenues and profits in accordance with prescribed guidelines and ensure effective teamwork to meet or exceed targets
Provide financial and technical justification for product selection/justification and definition
Establish, track, and control cost of goods, sold, operating, and capital budgets
Complete commercial evaluations and pricing recommendations to the organization with regards to these products and services
Responsible for planning, operation and growth of product line group in the respective region
Work with manufacturing and operations in order to manage inventory and asset utilization
Oversee product line group operations to ensure service safety, quality, and efficiency, and cost-effective management of resources as per objectives
Manage global technical product development, estimates of potential profits, and commercialization of new products and services.
Continually review progress through product life cycle to ensure attainment of objectives
Participate with clients on current and future business opportunities
Support Tender and BSA preparations
Maintain communication and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, marketing, schedule, and sales information for product line
Advise on product development opportunities on a region level
Lead the way on people management to drive a motivated disciplined and productive workforce. This includes effective staff leadership, performance management by setting objectives and driving appraisals and communication
Drive strategies for recruitment and retention of key personnel to foster an environment that enables the company to attract and retain a high performing talented workforce
Ensure that operational personnel meet product line standards and are in the correct positions for their skill sets
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in strategic planning and execution of projects
Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Skill in examining tenders, market conditions and operational requirements. Experience in sales and marketing
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles. Ability to develop financial plans and manage resources. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
Knowledge of communications and public relation techniques. Ability to develop and deliver professional presentations
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate and interact with officials at all levels of government and clients. Work effectively across a diverse multicultural multilingual community
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent industry experience
Experience with Unconventional Completions including composites, open hole packers and multistage frac sleeves.
Ability to travel up domestic and international
Work experience with matrix organizations
