JOB DESCRIPTION

Determines and performs Electrical and mechanical repair work on lathes, mills, grinders, CNC, etc. Repairs all equipment, general plant maintenance, electrical, and general preventive maintenance of equipment, Building and grounds.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and workplace instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Repair machinery in the manufacturing shop with some assistance.

Understanding of applicable theory for job duties required.

Work with minimal supervision.

Assist in making evaluations and recommendations.

Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.

Inspect or test damaged machine parts, and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair needs.

Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.

Remove hardened material from machines or machine parts, using abrasives, power and hand tools, jackhammers, sledgehammers, or other equipment.

Replace or repair metal, wood, leather, glass, or other lining in machines, or in equipment compartment or containers.

Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.

Assist in the training and instruction of peer personnel.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level to include detail cleaning upon completion of an assignment.

Coordinate with suppliers and vendors the receipt of goods or services.

Communicate with suppliers or vendors via e-mail or phone on equipment troubleshooting and repair.

Expected to continue technical training within the company to expand knowledge and skills.

Any other duties or assignments as instructed by supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires 3-5 plus years directly related experience.

Experience in repair work of CNC lathes, mills, saws and other machines used in a machine shop environment. 

Basic hydraulic, electrical, and PLC skills necessary for troubleshooting and repair.

PC literate.  MS Word and Excel.

MS Access and PowerPoint. 

JD Edwards experience

The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.

Must wear required PPE at all times where mandatory.

Preferred:

High School Diploma or GED preferred
