Sourcing Analyst supports evaluate and recommend solutions to the business challenges by reviewing and analyzing internal and external information that can impact our sourcing Strategies. The Sourcing Analyst must be able to solve complex problems associated with procurement processes, diverse or conflicting agency requirements, data analysis, and cost benchmarks.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research market and industry trends and patterns
Able to analyze large, complex data sets using a variety of software and tools
Analyze supply markets and assess demand to identify, report, and monitor risks
Conduct external research to analyze market opportunities, risks, technology trends, etc., associated with categories
Analysts work to ensure that companies are following compliance standards and regulations
Analyzes proposal pricing against historical costs, other state contracts, and industry-recognized indexes
Calculates and reports on estimated savings associated with contract proposals.
Gathers and analyzes contract expenditure data
Evaluate operations procedures and processes
Research market and industry trends and patterns Analyzes and Interprets results of over-all Inventory records
Compare processes with industry standards and best practices
Develops project estimates by identifying phases and elements, personnel requirements, and costs.
Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Able to analyze data and statistics and translate results into better solutions
Identifies project requirements by interviewing stakeholders; analyzing operations; determining project scope; documenting results; preparing customer contracts.
Researches procurement-specific markets and industry developments for incorporation into procurement solicitation specifications to maximize cost savings and quality of procured goods and services.
Maintain Transformation impact tracking reports as required
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) with the ability to achieve results through effective relationship management

Business Intelligence Reporting is highly desired
BS/BA degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or relevant discipline or 3+ years of relevant work experience can replace formal education
Familiarization with manufacturing and service environment
Knowledge of JD Edwards operating systems
Experience with spend analysis and BI tools
Experience with ERP systems required
