Repair, install, adjust, or maintain industrial machinery systems in both the field and in the shop.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Confer with Mechanic II’s and III’s and observe, test, and evaluate operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose cause of malfunction.
Disassemble equipment to remove parts and make repairs.
Examine parts for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear.
Repair, replace, adjust, and align components of equipment.
Clean and lubricate parts and equipment.
Test-run repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
Fabricate replacement parts.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
1+ years shop mechanic experience.
1+ years’ experience with Diesel, Minor Auto, and Hydraulic is a must
Strong ability to diagnosis and repair.
Strong Hydraulic and diesel skillset.
Good communication skills
Ability to follow repair manuals
Ability and willing to cross train in other areas of the shop when needed such as painting, pressure washing, loading and unloading jobs etc.
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
Must reside in or near the Broussard LA area.
Experience with Mechanized Tongs.
