Track the location and status of all Weatherford assets and inventory parts assigned to the Drilling Tools and Intervention Services Product Lines. Manage all the catalog listings for the products within Drilling Tools and Intervention Services to ensure that they are properly categorized, described, and appropriately represented with single part numbers. Assist with management of the asset and inventory levels within each region to optimize the amount of repair parts, tools, and other common items stocked for the product lines being looked after. Coordinate the activities of employees engaged in inventory, shipping, and receiving asset and inventory transfers to ensure that transactions occur efficiently and in accordance with company policies. Ensure all functions effecting inventory and asset control, including maintenance work orders, manufacturing requests, and third-party activities are conducted accurately and timely according to company policy and procedures. Maintain reports and tracking systems to accurately update the management team of the status of inventory and assets within product lines being looked after.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Access, identify, and correct ERP/Engineering (Windchill and/or JD Edwards) product listings issues to ensure proper product organization, description, categorization, and product number representation.
Manage the Global Training Branch plant and coordinate/assist with the management of other Global Branch Plants.
Plan and track inventory and work with regional and local personnel to manage on hand inventory levels as appropriate.
Expedite all facets of the supply chain process for Branch Plants within the area of responsibility.
Identify sources of slow moving inventory and work with Branch Plant personnel to reduce on hand levels of this inventory through transfers, scrapping, sales, and write-offs.
Coordinate between field and manufacturing locations to ensure that parts reach the field from manufacturing in a timely manner.
Lead and participate in teams working on inventory related issues.
Track and report utilization and update the status of Weatherford assets assigned to Drilling Tools and Intervention Services product lines using Weatherford’s asset tracking system.
Track and expedite the maintenance of assets within the product lines to increase potential utilization time.
Assist in investigating non-conformances and implementing corrective actions whether internal or external.
Articulate ideas well through both oral and written form.
Monitor and control inventory cost.
Implement and/or maintain tracking systems to assist with inventory and asset control and accurately report the status of goods and assets assigned to appropriate product lines.
May involve travel to other facilities (both domestic and international) to conduct these activities.
Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
2 plus years experience of inventory and cycle count procedures
Skilled in data entry
Ability to read, write, and speak English; ability to understand and comply with oral and written instructions
High School graduate or GED Equivalent
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
5+ years in an inventory control position, responsible for the accurate tracking of materials, WIP and finished product
Experience using Drilling Tools or providing Intervention Services including Fishing, Re-Entry, Well Abandonment, Wellbore Cleaning, etc.
Highly knowledgeable in the use of JDE Edwards and Windchill
