DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform NDE services on oil and gas service tools from multiple product lines.
NDE would include Visual, Dimensional and Blacklight Connections inspections (RSC) and MPI (or LPI) inspections of tool ODs and individual components.
Inspections would be required for incoming equipment: new from manufacturing (verification / validation of conformance to manufacturing drawing), equipment received from another location (conformance to Product Line used equipment specifications or DS-1 criteria) or from the field (used equipment in accordance with DS-1 and / or Product Line criteria).
Identify, record, communicate and follow-up product non-conformances for disposition using corporate tools.
Communicate non-conformances to management and assist with return of unacceptable materials.
Report quality concerns and take corrective actions whenever/wherever possible.
Prepare inspection reports for completed equipment.
Assist if needed in shipping, receiving, repair and maintenance, pre-job preparation and offshore operations.
Minimum 2 years’ experience is required, 5 years’ preferred.
Certification in MPI II, LPI II, UT Additional training in DS-1 or NS-2.
Familiarity with API RP7G, Spec 7-2 and related industry specifications.
Ability to read and understand Blueprints.
Quality Standards and Systems experience.
Experience with measuring and testing instruments e.g. Gages, Micrometers, Calipers.
Knowledge and use of hand tools, including pneumatic and hydraulic power tools.
Understanding of machine tolerances and how tolerance stack ups can affect tooling.
Report writing skills: neat handwriting; proficient level of computer usage and data entry.
Incoming material and final product inspection experience.
Keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
Must be aware of hazardous materials and the proper handling of these materials.
Must have the ability to follow directions, work independently.
Good communication skills in verbal and written English.
Leadership and organizational skills.
Experience inspecting a variety of oil and gas service tools and OCTG
API threading measurement knowledge
