DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  (not listed in any particular order)

Operate Computer-Assisted Engineering And Design Software And Equipment To Perform Engineering Tasks.

Plan And Implement Research Methodology And Procedures To Apply Principles Of Electrical Theory To Engineering Projects.

Prepare Specifications For Purchase Of Materials And Equipment.

Collaborate with other engineering staff to meet assigned project goals

Direct and oversee the project-specific activities of assigned technician staff

Interface closely with drafting group to develop PC board documentation

Participate in the engineering signoff of PC board documentation in Windchill

Provide support for all relevant design documents (work instructions, test procedures, theories of operation, etc)

Assist Manufacturing with the transition of prototype designs to production

Understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford

Demonstrate a personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety and the Environment


      Minimum Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering


Skills & Knowledge


Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.

Competent user of data acquisition instrumentation and methods

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Good interpersonal and communications skills


1-3 years of experience in the engineering profesion or equivalent graduate level education.

Knowledgeable in the areas of low-power and high-temperature hardware design for the downhole environment

Proficiency with data & circuit analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, or LTspice)
