JOB SCOPE:  Direct, supervise, and perform operation of Rig Systems equipment in addition to supervising and coordinating well site tubular running procedures related to use of this equipment both on-shore and off-shore environments.


Communicate with the customer representative and Rig Manager to coordinate operation procedures related to Rig Systems equipment on assigned rig.

Assist with making operational decisions related to Rig Systems equipment.

Conduct Job Safety Analysis for all tubular handling operations for assigned rig.

Submit job reports and detailed NCR reports to supervisor within 48 hours

Submit completed maintenance form to supervisor for each piece of equipment that remains on board between casing runs

Review tool list and procedures and communicate with field engineers and company reps in order to plan effectively

Ensure all required equipment is on location and properly function tested before each job and the equipment is properly back loaded after each job

Assist with repair, maintenance, and testing of long term project specific mechanized equipment on board the rig

Maintain, operate, conduct a hazard assessment, and research inventory levels of Rig Systems equipment for assigned rig.

Available on a 24 hour basis to respond to customer needs.

Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.

Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.




Skills & Knowledge:

1-3 years experience in a similar role

Fundamental knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, and computers

Strong mechanical aptitude

Good communication skills

Good understanding of rig operations



Oil and gas industry experience

Good computer skills

Casing and tubing running experience
