JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SCOPE:

Assists Wellsite Supervisor in the planning, coordination, supervision, execution and evaluation of well programs in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Monitors and helps to optimize product line and third-party operations. Responsible for support on direction and control of the operational functions on rig(s) under his supervision: including safety, drilling, moving, logistics (material + personnel) and maintenance.

  

  1. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

 

3.1

Support Health, Safety and Environment. Safety Always – Rules to Live By.

3.2

Work according to Weatherford´s core values and support the Transformation process by giving a fresh perspective and innovation of processes.

 

3.3

Assists the Wellsite Supervisor in part of all his activities to a level determined by the Wellsite Supervisor.

 

3.4

Carries out all technical calculations required to ensure success of rig operations.

 

3.5

Manage and oversee the utilization of resources, equipment and personnel on location to minimize NPT. Determine means of improving efficiency and reducing costs where possible, investigate and take corrective action when required.

 

3.6

Keeps accurate measurements and records of all tubulars and tools on location.

 

3.7

Carries out spot checks on contractor equipment/tools to ensure they are fit for purpose.

 

3.8

Ensure all work is performed within the requirements and guidance of Weatherford OEPS.

 

3.9

Monitor daily Time/Depth progress and Cost/Depth progress Vs AFE.

 

3.10

Support short term planning and scheduling of personnel, equipment and services.

 

3.11

Assist to pre-tour meetings with rig crews to communicate daily objectives, special instructions, safety precautions and training activities as required.

 

3.12

Ensure that Product line and third-party programs are carried out correctly and meet the established objectives.

 

3.13

Gains further experience in a well construction and related activities and comply with what is required on the training program.

 

3.14

Assist with ensuring effective communication between all parties (client, segments, third parties, etc).

 

3.15

Ensure immediate and detailed reporting of any incident/accident or other operational problems to in accordance with Weatherford´s procedures.

 

3.16

Support continuous improvement by using Weatherford systems to circulate information about best practices, lessons learned, technical alerts, etc.

 

3 Skills & Knowledge:

 

 

4.1

Weatherford primarily promotes its experienced Driller to this position. New hires will preferably possess current experience as a Senior Toolpusher in a Land Drilling operation.

 

4.2

Demonstrate excellent leadership. Effective people management skills, able to lead team working under pressure.

 

4.3

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels assist in effective management of personnel and operations.

 

4.4

Demonstrate a broad knowledge on well operations practices and procedures (planning, risk analysis, roles of various asset team members, equipment, drilling program, drilling, cementing, evaluation, completion, production and intervention, wellsite personnel, drilling parameters, fluids, well control, directional drilling, wellsite services, local regulatory, etc.)

 

4.5

Able to demonstrate excellent budgetary control experience and cost awareness.

 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

 

5.1

Must have legal authorization to work on a full-time basis in the relevant region.

 

5.2

5 or more years related field operations experience with Well Engineering exposure.

5.5

Well Control Certificate, Supervisory level + all courses applying to the function as per Training Matrix.

 

Fluent written and spoken English.

 

PC literate in Microsoft Office.

 

 

5.6

Must be willing to travel to remote land and offshore work locations and possibly to other countries for durations up to 35 days per trip with the expectation that changes occur depending on business requirements.
