Weatherford Canada is currently looking for Shop Technicians in our St. John's, NL location for our East Coast Division.
The successful candidate will learn to maintain equipment while adhering to standard safety and quality operational policies and procedures.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Servicing and maintenance of all facility tools and equipment
Perform maintenance and repairs according to written work instructions
Ensure all operational records are reported to the appropriate personnel
Clean and maintain Personal Protective Equipment, shop work area, hand tools, and equipment storage areas
Ensure all work is carried out according to QMS standards
Assist Shop Supervisor and Product Line teams in assessing damages and determining repairs
Actively participate in all safety meetings
High School Diploma
Demonstrated knowledge of Material Handling Equipment (i.e. Forklifts, Overhead and Job Cranes, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of mechanical repairs and technical inspection services
Ability to coordinate required tasks on own initiative in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work under minimal supervision
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic Computer Skills
POSITION SPECIFIC DETAILS

As this position is safety sensitive, selected candidates will be required to complete pre-employment drug, alcohol and medical testing. If working on-shore or off-shore in in facilities with smoke-free environments, all successful candidates will be required to adhere to Weatherford and customer requirements restricting or prohibiting tobacco usage.
