JOB DESCRIPTION

            TRS Field Specialist II

 

BASIC FUNCTION:

Must be able under minimum supervision actively ensure Jam, Power Tongs, handling equipment and accessories are properly maintained at work site within client’s time specification and in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running standards and procedures.

  

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Service Competence Assurance System to allow equipment to be operational on location.

As field specilaist supervise and perform casing and tubing torque monitoring including parameters of graph acceptance, competence and knowledge to avoid damage to pipe during make-up operations. Competence of identifies the tubular specification and follow the makeup parameters in compliance with Weatherford Tubular Running service and pipe manufacture standards to ensure of integrity of the client’s wells

 Supervise operations and operate power and handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner to maintain an optimum, consistent and safe rate of pipe delivery (Internal/External customers), in accordance with approved industry standards, safety and quality procedures, legislation and within the scope of the technician’s qualifications and competencies to meet customer’s work requirements.

 Communicate with operations office on a daily basis or as instructed to provide operations update and receive job and check-in details. Additionally, attend pre and post job briefings as instructed to ensure the communication of issues and information is facilitated.

Other auxiliary offshore duties such as cleaning of tongs, stowing of hoses and other housekeeping/maintenance duties in a safe manner.

 Report all hazards and unsafe acts

Ensure third party compliance

Understand the basics and functionality of Manual handling equipment, Power Equipment, Thread Monitoring Systems.

 Supervise and document all Pre-Job equipment checks for operations and ensure fit for purpose

 Maintain good standard of housekeeping practices in the workplace

 Support the crew supervisor with scheduled and unscheduled operations plan Well Site Services according to requirements

 Daily reporting requirements to senior service technician (Crew Supervisor)

 Supervise the performance of function checks of the Jam unit and accessories, casing and Tubing Running Equipment against with specified Work Instructions

Train, Coach and educate Well Site Services including performing under supervision Casing and Tubing Running Practices and Well Site Safety

 Ensure and implement Housekeeping/maintenance duties in a safe manner as required Responsible for complying with Weatherford and Clients HSE policies whilst ensuring co-workers carry out work in safe manner

 Perform service requirement for the maintenance on the electronic components and torque turn monitoring systems

 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
