Basic Function:

Analysis and interpretation of petrophysical data ( LWD/MWD, and core) and identifying new job opportunities by applying relevant technologies and work-flows to the business. He will deliver fit-for-purpose reservoir evaluation results and formation evaluation advice for integration in static and dynamic reservoir modeling studies.

Adhere to main job responsibilities:

Define, plan and execute petrophysical evaluation and reservoir characterization requirements for the different fields

Share best practices and coach other petrophysical engineers as appropriate. Take a lead role in championing new petrophysical technology

Involved with clients in planning the best LWD suites and interpretation methods to achieve logging objectives.

Discuss LWD programs with the client Petrophysicist / Geologist to insure fulfilling logging goals.

Conduct pre-job meetings with field engineers to insure their optimum knowledge about the job requirements


Required Skills:

Demonstrated experience with major Petrophysical interpretation software packages applied in the industry for well and reservoir interpretation
Demonstrated experience with petrophysical interpretation including deterministic, and stochastic approaches.

Required Education:

Bachelors or Master degree in Geology, Engineering or other relevant technical discipline

Required Experience:

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in petrophysics and log analysis.

Adhere to quality procedure and policies in accordance with the ISO9002 (where applicable) quality assurance system, Including:

  1. Compliance to work instructions.
  2. Raising corrective actions for all non-conformances.
  3. Identifying areas requiring improvement and / or audit.
