The Product Line Engineer will participate in product commercialization process for Production Optimization of Reciprocating Rod Lift applications. The Product Line Engineer will also provide dedicated product line support to regions globally to raise awareness in products and to provide training to improve regional competencies.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with staff to ensure global contacts are covered to secure business.
Work directly with Product Line Manager to learn:
ALS Product Line
Reciprocating Rod Lift products
Production Optimization products (Rod Pump Controllers and Variable Speed Drives)
LiftAdvisor, LOWIS, and other RRL related software products
Work closely with Product Line Manager to gain a technical understanding of the RRL Optimization product line.
Become familiar with all products (RPCs, VSDs, instrumentation, software) within this product line and their application.
Gain a technical understanding of all RRL Optimization products.
Learn the benefits and WFT differentiators of the RRL Optimization products
Learn to diagnose dynamometer cards and how they are used to understand the performance of an RRL system.
Install and troubleshoot RRL Optimization products.
Assist in overseeing projects through the quotation, manufacturing, delivery, and installation phases.
Support engineering through conducting field trials of new products and documentation of new features.
Participate in the development of marketing material and technical documentation
Perform analysis of customer wells utilizing WFT software tools.
Promote and participate in technical product line presentations for internal and external clients within the US region.
Domestic and international travel for projects as required. Travel may be approximately 50% of the time.
Relocation to permanent geographic assignment as directed by the GBU. Domestic and International positions are possible.
Comply with all Weatherford safety procedures and policies
Work directly with end users
Understanding of electronic controls, variable speed drives, instrumentation, application programming, etc.
Understanding of order processes
Understanding of remote monitoring, telecommunications and SCADA system architecture
Computer skills. Microsoft Office Tools-
Good communication and people skills
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
Good diagnostic and problem solving skills
Current passport without travel restrictions, or an ability to obtain one
Valid driver’s license
Knowledge of artificial lift systems and applications
Working knowledge of SCADA and communication systems
Preferred degrees BSME, BSPE, BSChE, BSEE, BSNE, MSME, MSPE, MSChE, MSNE, OR MSEE
