Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the plant and office facility with the ability to work in a variety of areas including electrical/electronics/PLCs, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work independently to ensure operation of plant assets by the timely completion of preventative and condition-based maintenance requirements on presses, hydraulic systems, engines, motors, pumps, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications to trouble shoot malfunctions.
Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
Performs job tasks for the planning and execution of shutdowns/outages
Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production machines
Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical and/or electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. Remove/replace defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, forklifts, scissor lift, boom lift, and hand/power tools.
Check, repair and replace defective parts making necessary adjustments to ensure proper machine functioning.
Modify existing machine tools to allow for the performance of specified operations.
Responsible to maintain up to date spare parts and drawings.
Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting parts; using calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, precision tools and instrumentation..
Inspect facilities, buildings, equipment, grounds and systems for cleanliness, unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and take appropriate action to remedy discrepancies.
Conduct routine, preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities, mechanical and electrical equipment, and systems to minimize interruptions and improve efficiency
Conduct all assigned work utilizing an approved work order prioritization matrix.
Track, record, manage and communicate all assigned work orders by means of maintenance management programs and systems
Submit purchase orders for items to maintain all inventory, supplies, materials and consumables to perform maintenance and repairs.
Clean and lubricate machines, including dismantling and repair
Maintain and repair basic electrical connections
Teach routine preventative maintenance to production and maintenance workers
Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
Work under minimal supervision and relate to other self-directed work groups.
Oversee contractors and vendors activities concerning mechanical maintenance and repairs of equipment and machinery to ensure highest quality of goods and services are received and within established budget.
Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
Know and understand Weatherford quality policy and complies with all requirements of the quality manual, operating and technical procedures plus workplace instructions.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment preferred.Two or more years of related experience in maintenance of production machines.Special skills required: electronic/electrical, PLC and computers, safety, troubleshooting, test equipment, schematics, mechanical, metric system, statistical process control (SPC), blueprint reading, measuring techniques and pneumaticsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment preferred.
Three or more years of related experience in maintenance of production machines.
Special skills required: electronic/electrical, PLC and computers, safety, troubleshooting, test equipment, schematics, mechanical, metric system, statistical process control (SPC), blueprint reading, measuring techniques and pneumatics
Extensive intricate knowledge of machines used
Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Software
Ability to read blue prints and electrical schematics
Knowledge of welding procedures
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to read and interpret charts, gauges, building plans, blue prints, operations/maintenance manuals, specifications and schematics
Basic understanding of mathematics
Familiar with hand tools and inspection devices
Ability to pass forklift operators test and operate a forklift
Understand basic trouble-shooting techniques
The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations
Good verbal communication skills
Ability to follow oral instructions
Able to work closely with fellow employees
